10 Tryhard Sweaty Fortnite Names Not Taken on PS4 (2024)

If you're anything like me, you've spent way too many late nights queuing into Fortnite lobbies and getting absolutely bodied by some kid named "clixswrld" or "zennysm1." And every time that happens, I think to myself — man, I need a name that sounds like I actually know what I'm doing. So I went down the rabbit hole. I loaded up PSN, typed in probably a hundred sweaty name ideas, and checked each one for availability on PS4. What I found is a handful of tryhard gems that are still up for grabs. Fair warning: these won't last forever, so if one clicks for you, lock it in fast. Here are my favorites, all tested and — as of writing — not taken.

1. ClutchOrKicked

This one is my personal favorite. It sounds like you either make the insane 1v3 play or you get booted from the party for whiffing. PS4 let me get all the way to the confirm screen with it, which means it's available. It's got that tryhard energy without screaming "I play 14 hours a day" — even though we both know you do.

2. SweatTaxCollector

I love a name that leans into the meme. You drop into a lobby, crank 90s on someone, and the name basically tells them you're here to collect. I tested this one directly on PSN and it went through. It's a bit longer, but the character limit on PlayStation handles it fine.

3. ZeroBuildZeke

Okay, hear me out — Zero Build sweats are a different breed, and there's a serious shortage of names that rep that mode. This one has a nice ring to it and it was still available when I checked. If you're a ZB main who still cranks harder than half the build lobby, this name is a flex.

4. PcOnPS4Lol

This is the troll-tier sweaty name. You know exactly what it means: you're cracked, and you want the lobby to know it before the first shot. I fully expected this to be taken, but it went through on my PS4 check. Bonus points if you actually plug a keyboard into your console — the salt in voice chat is unreal.

5. WKeyWarlord

Aggressive, punchy, and it fits the PS4 name rules without any weird characters. "W key" is classic tryhard slang for pushing every fight, and "warlord" gives it that menacing vibe. When I ran it through the PSN search, no match came up. Grab it before a 12-year-old with a montage channel does.

6. BotSlayerBrett

Look, sometimes you want a name that's honest about what's happening in your lobbies. But flip it — you ARE the bot slayer. It's goofy enough to be charming and sweaty enough to fit on a highlight reel. I checked it, and it's clear. Alliteration always hits.

7. EditResetGod

This is the purest tryhard name on the list. Every sweaty player knows the edit-reset combo is the difference between clipping someone and getting clipped. The name is confident, a little cocky, and — surprisingly — still untaken when I last checked PSN. If you can actually edit-reset consistently, you've earned it anyway.

8. 99PingHero

This one's for my fellow players cursed with terrible internet. You're sweating at 99 ping, hitting shots anyway, and you want everyone to know it. It's self-deprecating but low-key intimidating. The name went through in my testing, digits included.

9. FinalsOrNothing

Endgame energy. This name says your whole squad either wins the crown or dies trying. It works great in trios and squads, and it tested clean on PSN. It's also short enough to look sharp on a kill feed.

10. CrankedAndCaffeinated

The long ones are the hidden gems because most people assume they're taken. This name tells the whole story: cranking builds at 2 AM on your fourth energy drink. It cleared PSN when I checked, though I'd move fast on this one — it's too good to sit around.
