10 Dark Comedy Discord Server Names for People Who Laugh at the Void

Some people join Discord servers to make friends. Others join to make friends with the abyss. If your sense of humor lives somewhere between existential dread and a funeral roast, you already know that generic server names like "The Funny Zone" just don't cut it. You need a name that signals to fellow travelers that you're fluent in gallows humor, comfortable with the uncomfortable, and genuinely funnier when things get bleak. Below is a list of dark comedy Discord server names that hit that sweet spot between "witty" and "probably on a watchlist." Use them wisely, rename them often, and remember: if the name doesn't make at least one person slightly nervous, it's not dark enough.

1. Laughing in the Void

A classic for a reason. "Laughing in the Void" captures that specific feeling of staring into nothingness and deciding to crack a joke about it. It's clean enough to attract members broadly, but the word "void" does the heavy lifting—it tells people you're not here for sunshine and puppy memes. Great for servers built around existential humor, nihilist memes, and those 3 a.m. conversations that get a little too real.

2. The Dying Laugh

Is that a laugh of someone dying, or someone laughing at death? Why not both. "The Dying Laugh" is a sly, dark little name that plays on that ambiguous, unsettling laugh you hear in horror movies right before something terrible happens. It works perfectly for a server where the humor gets a bit grim and members appreciate a name that sounds like a threat but is actually just a vibe.

3. Six Feet Under Humor

A pun-forward option that leans into the funeral imagery without being too try-hard. "Six Feet Under Humor" is self-aware, memorable, and instantly tells new members exactly what tone to expect. It's especially good if your server has channels with names like "grave matters" or "last words." The name does the filtering for you—anyone who clutches their pearls at the phrase "six feet under" probably wasn't going to survive your general chat anyway.

4. Coffin Break

Short, punchy, and macabre. "Coffin Break" is the kind of name that sounds like a normal coffee break until you think about it for two seconds. It's the perfect fit for a server where the jokes are quick, the timing is deadpan, and everyone's just here to take a brief, dark little pause from the horror of being alive. Bonus points if you name your voice channels after types of gravestones.

5. Gallows Humor HQ

You can't have a dark comedy list without gallows humor. "Gallows Humor HQ" is straightforward and confident, and that "HQ" gives it a nice bureaucratic absurdity, like your grim jokes are being officially processed by a government office. It's a solid pick for larger servers that organize events, because nothing says "community" like a room full of people laughing at the worst-case scenario together.

6. Deadpan Society

This one leans on the dry, deadpan side of dark comedy rather than the gory side. "Deadpan Society" is understated, a little pretentious in the funniest way, and perfect for a server where the humor is delivered flat and nobody explains the joke. It also gives your members a built-in identity—congratulations, you're now a society—which is its own kind of dark joke about the state of online communities.

7. The Last Laugh Lounge

"The Last Laugh Lounge" has a doomy elegance to it. Is it the last laugh because everything ends? Because you win the argument? Because the world is on fire? Nobody knows, and that's the point. The lounge framing makes it feel cozy and inviting, which creates a wonderfully unsettling contrast with the implied finality. It's the kind of name that works for a server that's both genuinely warm and casually apocalyptic.

8. Morbid Mirth

Alliteration plus a hint of the grave. "Morbid Mirth" is a lovely little contradiction—mirth is cheerful, morbid is death-adjacent—and the combination is exactly the energy a dark comedy server needs. It's short, easy to remember, and sounds like a Victorian parlor game that went horribly wrong. Ideal for servers with channels dedicated to weird history, true crime humor, and cursed images.

9. Ashes to Ashes, Jokes to Jokes

A longer, jokier name that plays on the funeral phrase. "Ashes to Ashes, Jokes to Jokes" is admittedly a mouthful, but it's memorable and it makes people chuckle before they even join. It works best for servers that embrace a more playful, absurdist brand of dark humor—the kind where everyone is in on the bit and nobody takes the name too seriously. It's also fun to say out loud, which matters more than you'd think.

10. Exit Stage Left (Permanently)

A theater-kid nod to death and final bows. "Exit Stage Left (Permanently)" is clever, a little smug, and perfect for a server full of people who appreciate a well-constructed joke about mortality. The parenthetical is what sells it—it turns a normal phrase into a dark punchline. Pair it with an emoji-heavy icon and a rules channel written like a eulogy, and you've got a server identity that practically markets itself.
